Cacoxenite is a high-ranking Homeworld Gem who works under Yellow Diamond.

Appearance

Cacoxenite has a slender build, shaggy, pale yellow hair, bright yellow skin, gold eyes, a small nose and thin lips. She wears a sleeveless bodysuit, with a dark brown V-neck collar and a yellow-brown diamond outline around the cut-out of her neck area, meeting together to form Yellow Diamond's insignia at her solar plexus. The torso of the bodysuit is a yellow-brown color, and the legs are in a dark brown. Her shoes are saffron boots with goldenrod toes, and her gemstone is located on her left palm.

Personality

Cacoxenite is very opinionated. She isn't scared to voice her opinions, and has a hard time admitting when she's wrong. She has a bit of a short temper, and is known to take her anger out on others. Sometimes, even with violence. Because of this, she can be hard to get along with. On the battlefield, she is incredibly brutal and ruthless, as well as a very skilled fighter. She loves the thrill of fighting, and is very passionate about it. Cacoxenite isn't very bright and doesn't have knowledge on many things, other then fighting. Once she has her mind set on something, she has a hard time forgetting about it, which helps her stay focused in battle. She is an incredibly loyal Gem, and is even willing to risk her life to defend her superiors.

Abilities

Cabel Wire

Cacoxenite's cable wires.

Like all Gems, Cacoxenite has the ability to invoke a weapon, change shape, strength and skill beyond human battle, and retreat to her gem after being wounded to heal. Cacoxenite is a very skilled fighter, and even enjoys fighting. Despite the fact that she's not very muscular, she is very strong, about as strong as most quartz soldiers.

Skillset

  • Weapon Proficiency: Cacoxenite is very skilled with her cable wire(s), and mixes very well with her immense strength. She uses her cable wire(s) to lash at opponents and injure or kill them by electric shock.
    • Dual Strike: She can hold a cable wire in each hand (main hand and off hand), dealing significantly more damage as compared to a single cable wire.
    • Discharge: She can use her cable wire(s) to grab onto objects or lift them, charge them with electricity, and throw them at the enemy.
    • Shock: She can throw her cable wire(s) to entangle or electrocute her target from afar.
    • Electrocution: She can send waves of electricity along her cable wire(s) in order to create an immense explosion.
  • Martial Arts: Cacoxenite is prone to mixing up her weapon-based attacks with martial arts moves, such as grappling, throwing, or simply punching her opponent. Due to the nature of her weapon, the two styles mix seamlessly and combine into a powerful, but ultimately reckless fighting style with immense collateral damage.

Unique Abilities

  • Electrokinesis: Cacoxenite has the power to manipulate electrical currents and generate electricity.
    • Electrical Immunity: Cacoxenite is immune to electricity, being completely invulnerable to direct and indirect effects.
    • Electricity Infusion: Cacoxenite can infuse objects (usually her weapon) with electricity, empowering and energizing them and allowing her to manipulate their qualities and efficiency and use electricity in various ways to attack.
    • Electronic Disruption: Cacoxenite can disrupt electronic signals, causing communicators and other electrical appliances to work erratically, or fail completely.

Gemology

Cacoxenite-40667

Cacoxenite, 6.2 x 5.4 x 4.1 cm, Fort Lismeenagh, Shanagolden, County Limerick, Ireland

  • Cacoxenite is an iron aluminium phosphate mineral with formula: Fe3+24Al(PO4)17O6(OH)12·17(H2O). It is associated with iron ores. The name comes from the Greek κăκός for "bad" or "evil" and ξένος for "guest" because the phosphorus content of cacoxenite lessens the quality of iron smelted from ore containing it.
    • It was first described in 1825 for an occurrence in the Hrbek Mine, Bohemia, Czech Republic. It occurs as a secondary phase in oxidized magnetite and limonite deposits. It also occurs in novaculites and in iron and phosphorus rich sediments.
  • Cacoxenite is believed to assist in the growth of all mankind by opening the mind to new concepts that can be shared throughout civilization.
    • Considered to be a stone of ascension, cacoxenite is thought to assist in one's spiritual evolution, cleansing and alignment.
  • Cacoxenite varies in color from yellow to gold and even makes its way as dark as brown, at times.
    • Cacoxenite is commonly an inclusion in quartz, especially amethyst. The inclusions in amethyst often detract from the amethyst as the brown acicular needles dampen the pure purple color to a less desirable brownish hue.
      • The inclusions of cacoxenite will certainly ruin any chance for the host stone to become a gemstone. This is not to say that some specimens of cacoxenite included quartz have no value, for indeed some are actually enhanced with interesting surreal landscaping effects.
  • Although it can be found on most conteninents, cacoxenite is a relatively rare stone. Cacoxenite on its own is appreciated as a scarce phosphate mineral and is known from classic phosphate localities.
    • It is often associated with other attractive and rare phosphates and can therefore represent some very nice mineral specimens. These specimens can be quite popular and attractive with a silky luster and a typical yellow-brown color.
  • Cacoxenites range from a 3 to 4 on the Mohs scale of hardness and are found in Cornwall, England; Sweden; France; Hagendorf, Germany; Antwerp, New York; Pima County, Arizona; Indian Mountain, Alabama and Coon Creek Mine, Polk County, Arkansas, USA.
    • As for the zodiac, it is regarded as the stone for Sagittarius.
